Privacy Policy – LitePDF

📋 Overview

LitePDF ("we", "our", or "the app") is designed with your privacy in mind. This policy explains what information we access, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

All PDF processing — merging, splitting, scanning, annotating — is performed 100% on-device. Your documents never leave your iPhone. To keep LitePDF free, we display ads served by Appodeal. The ad SDK may collect certain device data as described below.

📁 Data We Access

LitePDF only accesses files and device features that you explicitly authorize:

PDF files — files you import, create, or open from the Files app. These stay on your device and are never uploaded by LitePDF.
Camera — used only when you tap "Scan Document". The camera feed is processed on-device via Apple's VisionKit framework and is never recorded or transmitted by LitePDF.

📢 Advertising & Attribution

LitePDF is free and supported by in-app advertising. We use the following third-party SDKs to serve ads and measure their effectiveness:

Appodeal — ad mediation platform. May collect device identifiers (IDFA with your consent), IP address, and general usage signals to serve relevant ads. See Appodeal's Privacy Policy.
AppsFlyer — mobile attribution and analytics. Collects install and event data to measure ad campaign performance. See AppsFlyer's Privacy Policy.

            App Tracking Transparency (ATT): On iOS 14.5 and later, LitePDF
            will ask for your permission before any advertising identifier (IDFA) is accessed.
            If you decline, only non-personalized ads are shown. You can change this at any
            time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
        

🚫 Data We Do NOT Collect

No account registration or login required
No personal data collected by LitePDF directly
No access to contacts, location, microphone, or photo library
No PDF content is uploaded or shared with any server
No data sold to third parties

            Your PDF documents are processed entirely on your device and are never
            transmitted to LitePDF servers or any third party.
        

💾 Local Storage

LitePDF stores the following data locally on your device only:

PDF files you import or create, saved in the app's private Documents directory
Your last-read page for each document (saved in NSUserDefaults)

You can delete all app data at any time by removing LitePDF from your device via Settings → General → iPhone Storage → LitePDF → Delete App.

🔒 Permissions

LitePDF requests the following system permissions, solely for the stated purpose:

Camera (NSCameraUsageDescription) — required for the "Scan Document" feature. Used only when you initiate a scan.
App Tracking Transparency (NSUserTrackingUsageDescription) — requested to allow personalized ads via Appodeal. Declining has no effect on core app functionality; non-personalized ads will still be shown.

You may revoke any permission at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security on your device.

👶 Children's Privacy

LitePDF is not directed to children under the age of 13. The app displays third-party advertising; parents or guardians should supervise use on devices shared with children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

✏️ Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
